Introduction to Latitude 64

Latitude 64 was founded in 2005 in Bergsbyn in northern Sweden. The name refers to the 64th parallel that runs through the area. Production still takes place in Sweden, and Latitude 64 also manufactures discs for Dynamic Discs and Westside Discs as part of the so-called Trilogy collaboration. The town is home to one of the world’s largest disc golf courses with 36 holes, and despite its small population of around 2,000 people, several world-class players have emerged from here over the years.

Latitude 64 was among the first European manufacturers to establish a strong international presence. The brand is particularly known for discs with noticeable glide and shapeable flights, and several of their molds have been in continuous production for many years.

Latitude 64 has built a lineup featuring several models that have been on the market for more than a decade. River, Pure and Fuse are three of the most widely used.

River is a fairway driver known for its high glide rating and ability to hold long, straight lines with minimal fade. It is often used on technical fairways where distance must be combined with control.

Pure is a low-profile putter with a neutral flight. It is used both as a putting putter and for short, straight throws from the tee or fairway. The flat top and clean release have made it a staple in the Latitude 64 lineup since its release.

Fuse is a midrange with noticeable glide and controllable turn. It is often used for anhyzer lines and mid-distance shots where the angle needs to be held throughout the flight.

Latitude 64 has developed several plastic types that are also used across the Trilogy brands.

Opto is a transparent premium plastic with high durability and consistent flight over time. Gold Line offers similar durability but with a grippier surface. Both are primarily used for drivers and midranges.

The Zero line is baseline plastic developed primarily for putters. It comes in different firmness levels and is designed with a focus on grip rather than maximum durability. Retro is a more affordable baseline option.

There are also variations such as Burst and Orbit, where color effects are integrated into the production process.

Production and the Trilogy collaboration

Latitude 64 not only produces its own discs but also manufactures Dynamic Discs and Westside Discs. The Trilogy collaboration means that many plastic types and production methods are shared across the brands, while molds and design remain separate.

Production takes place in Sweden, which distinguishes Latitude 64 from many American manufacturers and has been part of the brand’s identity since its founding.
