Control powerful throws with pronounced overstability
The 2026 Captain’s Raptor from Discraft is developed in collaboration with Paul Ulibarri, captain of Team Discraft. The release is an annual tradition that highlights the leadership within the team while giving players a new run of a fairway driver many build their season around.
This year’s version comes in Z Confetti plastic, now for the first time featuring a colored confetti blend. This improves visibility both in flight and on the course. The blend has a slight flex that enhances hand feel and provides a more confident release, especially on power throws and technical angles.
The Captain’s Raptor is known for its pronounced overstability and high torque resistance. It can handle significant power without flipping and holds the line on aggressive forehands and hard, flat releases. The disc is well suited for steep hyzer lines, controlled flex shots, and reliable skip shots where a strong, consistent fade is essential.
The 2026 run combines a dependable finish with forward carry, giving players with higher arm speed both control and usable distance. This makes it relevant as a consistent part of a competitive setup.

- Z Confetti plastic with colored blend and slight flex
